Serious Security
If you have very serious security needs (e.g. you are fighting for freedom
against an oppresive totalitarian government, or pursuing cyber-sophisticated
criminals, who might physically counter-attack you or your family), then there more security issues
than can be dealt with here.
Some of the issues follow:
- software, e.g. preventing
virtual memory from writing sensitive information to swap areas on the hard disk,
then leaving it there
- security procedures for the user
- organizational structure, e.g. ensuring that members have limited knowledge and hence can not reveal too much after capture
- cyber- and physical- security around the computer, e.g. to prevent a
software or hardware keyboard sniffer from being installed to record your
every keystroke
Until ALL
those issues are dealt with, you should not stake
your life, wealth, liberty, or physical well-being on fpwdman or any other
software.
